Supports the production team as the mechanical expertEnsures production and support equipment are functioning properlyPerforms preventative maintenance proceduresTroubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctionsMakes repairs or adjustments to equipment as neededPerforms basic electrical duties (replace motors, switches, PE, etc.
)Performs package change over on lines as requiredSupports the team on all aspects of the operationTrains team members on mechanical processFocuses on continuous improvementMaintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with ISO Good Manufacturing Practices standardsWhat you need to succeed:
Minimum age 18 years oldPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policiesRegular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelinesAbility to maintain safety and security of Company assetsAbility to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 2-4 years related experience &/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceWillingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as requiredProficient knowledge in the operation of continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipmentEffective problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formKnowledge of various mechanical processes is necessary (hydraulics, pneumatics, etc)Ability to work with all functional team membersAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyFrequent walking, grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulation and exposure to chemicalsRepeated exposure to water and noiseCCBCU is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/DisabledVeteran friendly.
